Senior Accountant


  • Supervise staff accountant
  • Manage financial aspects of employee benefits
  • Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts in support of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles
  • Assist the Assistant Controller in the preparation of all prepared-by-client (PBC) schedules for year-end audit and tax return preparation purposes
  • Prepare monthly and annual sales and use tax returns
  • Review, analyze, and file property and water tax assessments
  • Manage the Workers’ Compensation insurance audit
  • Manage various tax credits and incentives (such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit and the Enterprise Zone Tax Credit)
  • Participate in key initiatives such as business process redesign, cost savings initiatives, and system development projects
  • Review accounting processes and recommend changes as needed
  • Maintain a comprehensive set of accounting policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required


  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance required
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience required
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills required
  • Previous ERP software experience preferred
  • Superior computer skills required (Excel, Access)
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
